Tesla will end Cybertruck production in 2027, and the last trucks just got pricier

The Cybertruck now has an end date, and anyone who still wants one will pay more for it. Elon Musk wrote on X that Tesla will wind down production at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of 2027 to free up space for more Cybercab robotaxis, and Tesla’s US configurator showed higher prices soon after, as Electrek spotted.
The base Dual Motor AWD trim got a new sticker but can no longer be ordered, which leaves the Premium AWD as the cheapest Cybertruck actually on sale. It is the second increase since August.
| Trim | August | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Dual Motor AWD | $74,990 | $82,490 (not orderable) |
| Premium AWD | $84,990 | $92,490 |
| Cyberbeast | $99,990 | $102,490 |
Sales explain the exit better than floor space does. Tesla doesn’t report the truck on its own, but its “Other Models” line, which also holds the Semi and the last Model S and X, fell 48% year on year to 8,295 deliveries in the third quarter, from a factory line planned for 250,000 trucks a year. At $92,490, the cheapest orderable Cybertruck now costs more than double the $39,900 Tesla quoted at the 2019 reveal.
Current owners keep their support: Wes Morrill, the truck’s lead engineer, said Tesla will maintain spare parts and service, according to Not a Tesla App. Tesla hasn’t said when it will stop taking orders.
