Lucid’s new teaser ends on a red SUV that looks like its sub-$50,000 Cosmos

Lucid hasn’t said the word Cosmos, but its latest video comes close. The brand’s official X account posted a short film on November 5 that ends on an unnamed red vehicle at dusk, and Electrek points out that the shape of its tail lines up with a Cosmos design Lucid filed with the EU’s intellectual property office in May.
Most of the clip shows models Lucid already sells. The new car appears only in the final seconds: first a sharp headlight made of thin vertical segments, then the tailgate, where the letters L-U-C-I-D glow red between two slim light bars. The caption talks about sharing the feeling of a Lucid drive “with even more people”, which is as close as the company gets to hinting at a cheaper model.

What Lucid has confirmed about the Cosmos dates back to its Investor Day in March: a midsize SUV on a new platform, priced under $50,000. Electrek reports Lucid’s targets: a 69 kWh pack good for roughly 300 miles, and up to 200 miles added in 14 minutes of charging. Production was planned for the end of 2026; in August, chief executive Silvio Napoli pushed it into 2027, probably its second half.
The teaser arrives days before Lucid reports quarterly results on Monday, and investors will be listening for any word on that timeline.
