RAV4 owners can get $1,500 from Nissan for switching to the new Rogue Hybrid

Toyota RAV4 owners shopping for a new compact SUV now have a $1,500 reason to walk into a Nissan showroom. Nissan is offering that bonus to anyone who trades in a 2021 or newer RAV4 toward the new Rogue Hybrid, according to a dealer bulletin reported by CarsDirect.

The target is no accident. CarsDirect notes that the Rogue ranks third in US compact SUV sales this year, trailing only the RAV4 and the Honda CR-V, so the quickest way up is to win buyers straight from the leader. Toyota has just refreshed its own bestseller, including a NACS port for the plug-in version.

The offer began on November 3 and runs until January 4, 2027. It works for both purchases and leases, can be passed to a member of the same household, and stacks with Nissan’s current deals: 4.9% APR financing over 60 months, or a West Coast lease at $439 a month for 36 months with $4,959 paid at signing and 10,000 miles a year.

Under the skin, the Rogue Hybrid takes a different route from Toyota. Its e-POWER system keeps a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine purely as a generator, while two electric motors turn the wheels, giving all-wheel drive and 225 horsepower combined. Nissan quotes up to 38 mpg combined from its own testing. In practice, it is an electric drivetrain that never asks for a charging cable.

Choice is narrow at first. Dealers are getting a single all-wheel-drive SR with the SR Technology Package; the full SV, SR and Platinum lineup arrives in early 2027, with the SV starting at $35,490 plus a $1,575 destination charge.

Anyone who wants to see the car before handing over their keys can find it at the Los Angeles Auto Show, where the Rogue Hybrid makes its first public show appearance from November 20 to 29.
