Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is cancelled before a global launch, servers close in 2027

Ratchet and Clank’s mobile spin-off will never get a worldwide launch. Sony and developer Oh BiBi have stopped work on Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a free-to-play arena game that only ever reached players through a soft launch in a handful of countries.
The game was announced in November 2025 and built with Insomniac’s involvement. VGC notes it rolled out step by step from the Philippines and Indonesia to the Nordics, France, Canada and the UK, without ever going global.
The timetable on the official site is short. The last update arrives today, the game leaves the App Store and Google Play on November 21, and the servers close for good on May 1, 2027, when all player data will be deleted. In-app purchases are already gone and the Super Pass is free, so whatever remains can be unlocked by playing. Refund requests go through Apple or Google.
The studio says the decision does not affect other Ratchet & Clank games or PlayStation services.
