Guardians of the Galaxy hits Switch 2 for $39.99 with glam rock outfits and gyro controls

The 2021 Guardians of the Galaxy game, the one that took Best Narrative at The Game Awards that year, now has a portable home: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition is out on Nintendo Switch 2 and costs $39.99 on the US eShop.
The Switch 2 version is more than a straight port. It adds an exclusive set of outfits that dress Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket and Groot as an eighties glam rock band, ready, as Nintendo’s store page puts it, to bring down the house. Nintendo Everything notes support for mouse and gyro controls as well.

The story is unchanged: players control Star-Lord and steer the rest of the squad in and out of fights, both on the TV and in handheld mode. Eidos-Montréal developed the game, and Nintendo’s store lists it as available now, with a launch trailer to mark the release.
