Where Winds Meet’s first anniversary opens the war-torn Hutuo region on November 13

Where Winds Meet is celebrating its first birthday with its bleakest chapter so far. Hutuo, a frontier region torn apart by war, arrives with the anniversary update on November 13, a date both Xbox Wire and the PlayStation Blog confirm.
The campaign builds up to the defence of Zhongdu Bridge against invaders from the north, and the side quests look at the war from below: soldiers who refuse cruel orders, displaced families on the river, villagers hiding refugees. NetEase can afford a big swing here, since the game passed 100 million players in August and won Best Mobile Game at Gamescom.

| What arrives | When |
|---|---|
| Hutuo region and the Zhongdu Bridge campaign | November 13 |
| Bosses Xiao Han, Bingshen and Yelu Abuli | November 13 |
| Board game modes Horse Racing Chess and Jianghu Tactics | November 13 |
| Anniversary gifts worth over $150, including a free outfit set | From November 13 |
| Dual Spears martial art | November 26 |
Console players get their own tuning. On PS5 Pro the developers promise enhanced PSSR and ray-traced reflections at a stable 60 fps; Xbox Series X upscales to 4K from 1080p and Series S to 2K from 900p, with FSR 2 and HDR on both.

The last piece lands on November 26: the Dual Spears, whose motion capture and choreography were led by Yuen Woo-ping, the action director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The style switches between light thrusts and heavy, stance-breaking strikes mid-combo.
