Samsung’s clip-on Galaxy Buds On and SmartTag3 tracker are on sale in the US

Samsung’s first clip-on earbuds and its new item tracker are now in US stores. The Galaxy Buds On had already been promised for this date, but the Galaxy SmartTag3 only got its US launch confirmed today, as Android Authority notes. Both are sold through Samsung’s website, its Experience Stores and other retailers.
The Buds On hook onto the ear instead of sealing the canal, so the wearer still hears the street. Samsung says it shaped them using more than 119 million ear data points and that each bud weighs 6.65 g. The SmartTag3 is thinner than the two tags before it and comes in white or black.
| Device | US price | Key numbers |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Buds On | $229.99 | up to 9.5 h of music, up to 38 h with the case |
| Galaxy SmartTag3, one tag | $29.99 | direction finding from up to 60 m |
| Galaxy SmartTag3, four-pack | $99.99 | same tag, about $25 each |
Being open, the earbuds lean on software: a TwinBoost speaker raises the volume in noisy places, three microphones and a voice pickup unit handle calls, and nods or head shakes answer or decline them. “Hey Google, let’s talk live” starts a Gemini Live chat without touching the phone, and Quick Voice Memo records ideas through the buds.
The tag’s Compass View now points the way from up to 60 m, roughly three times the previous range, according to Samsung. New alerts fire when a tag leaves or enters a chosen area or starts moving, and Location History shows where it has been. The four-pack is the obvious buy for a family: it saves about $20 over four single tags.
