Nicholas Galitzine reportedly in talks to play Ichabod Crane opposite Sydney Sweeney

Sleepy Hollow is getting another schoolteacher. Nicholas Galitzine is in the last stage of talks to become Ichabod Crane in Hollow, Sony Pictures’ new take on Washington Irving’s tale, as Deadline first reported, citing sources. Sony has not confirmed the casting.
Sydney Sweeney leads the film as Katrina Van Tassel, with Belmont Cameli also in the cast. The story is told from Katrina’s side: rather than a prize for the men around her, she sits at the centre of a supernatural mystery and a dangerous love triangle.
Lindsey Anderson Beer will direct and write the script from her own debut novel, which Putnam plans to publish in fall 2027. Sweeney is also producing through her new Honey Trap banner, its first film, alongside Beer’s Lab Brew and LuckyChap.
Galitzine, who played He-Man in Masters of the Universe, would take over a role Johnny Depp played in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow in 1999. No release date has been set.
