Apple’s holiday return window is open: online orders can go back until January 8

Gifts bought from Apple now come with a longer escape hatch. Eligible products from the Apple Store Online that arrive between November 6 and December 25, 2026 can be returned through January 8, 2027, instead of within the usual 14 days of delivery.
The fine print is familiar. iPhones financed through T-Mobile or Verizon and iPads financed through Verizon stay on the standard policy, and opened software, downloads, Apple gift cards and developer products can’t be returned at all. Anything that arrives after December 25 falls back to the normal 14-day window.
The person who got the gift doesn’t need the receipt: Apple’s gift returns page accepts a serial or order number and refunds the value as an Apple Gift Card by email. The terms are on Apple’s US returns page.
